Please make a donation to support our HeadSmart – be brain tumour aware campaign, which aims to reduce the time it takes to diagnose children and young people with brain tumours in the UK.
· Brain tumours are the leading cause of childhood cancer deaths in the UK.
· Around 500 children and young people in the UK are diagnosed each year
· On average, it takes over three months for them to receive an accurate diagnosis - that’s roughly three times longer than in countries such as Canada and the USA.
HeadSmart – be brain tumour aware is a major new campaign from Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, developed in collaboration with doctors and researchers from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre at University of Nottingham and The Health Foundation.

We need your help to deliver the HeadSmart campaign for quicker diagnosis and improved outcomes for those affected by a brain tumour. Reducing the time to diagnosis should reduce the long term disability that many children and young people diagnosed with a brain tumour currently experience.
Make a donation today; whether it’s £5 or £500 it will make a difference to children who need our help.
The funds received from this page will be received by Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust and used to fund the HeadSmart project and future work on earlier diagnosis of brain tumours.
