In November 2017, Joe Harris tragically passed away whilst completing charity work in South Africa.
Jarris was an essential part of Warwick Lacrosse, which was a huge part of my first year at Warwick University and he was such a kind and genuine person. Jarris was well-known throughout the club, particularly for always having a smile on his face and he really was well-loved by all the members of Warwick Lacrosse.
Jarris was patron of the Dominic Beer Memorial Trust in honour of his uncle. This incredible charity work to support projects and research to help those suffering from severe mental illness. This is another issue particularly close to me and was hugely important to Jarris.
As well as spending much of his time, whilst at Warwick, with Warwick Lacrosse, Jarris was an avid triathlete. Along with Warwick Lacrosse and a number of Jarris' closest friends and family, I will be taking part in the Stratford (mini) Triathlon 2018 in memory of Jarris and to raise money for the Dominic Beer Memorial Trust.
