Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am Heather Mulligan - mother of four and grandmother of two from Cookstown Co. Tyrone. I have embarked on a challenge to raise funds for Charis Integrated Cancer Care based in Cookstown Co. Tyrone. Over a 2 month period - starting 5th September until Saturday 5th November, I will be fronting an intense fundraising campaign to raise vital funds for the Charity who are reliant on continual fundraising and donations to ensure they are able to continue to provide their services to people living or affected by cancer. CHARIS is a unique concept in complementary cancer care. Situated in a beautiful scenic location overlooking the tranquil shores of Lough Fea, CHARIS is a haven and retreat for men and women who have been diagnosed with cancer.

CHARIS is purpose-designed for the needs of people diagnosed with cancer, their family and supporters and provides its clients with.:

When I was first approached by Charis House to take part in the challenge I didn't have to think twice before agreeing as I myself have been personally affected by cancer and so it is a cause very much close to my heart. My eldest son Stephen was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma at the age of 17 although fully recovered now I can relate to many mothers nursing for sick children and would like to give back to those who helped me during my hour of need. I have also experienced first hand the loss of a loved one from the disease has on a family having lost my dear mother and brother- in- law to Lung Cancer.

Over the next 8 weeks I alongisde an enthusiastic team of volunteers will be organsing a schedule of various fundraising events. Our ultimate aim is to raise £20,000 - a mean feat in a short space of time - but I am lucky to have a dedicated and passionate team ,who I am confident that alongside their commitment & YOUR much needed donations and support will ensure we reach our target!

Every little helps and any donation no matter how big or small you think it may be is deeply appreciated! Any form of support be it a monetary donation , your time , organising an event or initiative in your community or workplace are all welcome! The next 8 weeks will be particulary busy but I am game for the challenge and it is my testimony as far as possible to keep you updated on my progress by posting regular updates on this page & our facebook page (in development). I thank you in advance for all your help and support and will leave you with these parting thoughts -
