On 26th October I'll be joining Wimbledon Village Stables' Sponsored Ride - 10 miles in fancy dress across Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park.

We're raising money for Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign which is special to me as almost 4 years ago I lost my Dad to cancer.

The ride element is apt, though I'm sure Dad would think I should be making more of an effort rather than leaving it up to the horse.  I was a pony mad child and my poor Dad would patiently lead me around the village on the local farmer's pony or join me on pony treks on holiday.  

He'd love the fancy dress element too and would be keen for me to look as ridiculous as possible.  My current plan to dress as an Native American Chief might not quite be enough...

The Wimbledon Village Stables team has raised more than £500,000 over the past 38 years, please help us exceed this year's target of £15,000.
