Story
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-justify: inter-ideograph; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"><span style="font-size: small;">During 2010, I became involved with Macmillan Cancer Trust and was proud to be part of a local team that raised over £160,000 for this extremely worthy charity. It opened my eyes as to the devastating impact cancer has on people’s lives. I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro as part of a charity trek and, in addition to the money raised for Macmillan, I will be walking for another charity very much lodged in my heart. Multiple Sclerosis (MS).</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-justify: inter-ideograph; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-justify: inter-ideograph; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"><span style="font-size: small;">As you may be aware, my mother has been a long term sufferer from Multiple Sclerosis. She was diagnosed at the age of 38 and, since that date, has bravely faced a constant, ongoing decline in her health and lifestyle. She is now completely wheelchair bound and only has the use of one arm and so the simple things we all take for granted like eating, bathing and cuddling with her grandchildren pose a virtually impossible challenge for her on a daily basis. Although the degenerative disease has attacked her body, Mum’s passion for life remains up beat. Mum displays <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>an amazing sense of courage, positivity and humour. She smiles more than most of us do on an average day and also brings laughter wherever she goes – this is the woman who still likes to dance in her chair with a pair of sparkly deeley boppers on!</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-justify: inter-ideograph; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-justify: inter-ideograph; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"><span style="font-size: small;">MS is a tragic neurological illness, and currently there is no cure. I want to raise money in order to support the treatment of MS suffers like my mother who face daily pain and challenges that some of us can not even comprehend.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-justify: inter-ideograph; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-justify: inter-ideograph; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"><span style="font-size: small;">So the physical goal is to climb 5,885m up an African mountain, Kilimanjaro - walking is something we all just take for granted and so it seems like an appropriate challenge for me to undertake. The financial goal is to raise £1000 for MS Society and this Just Giving page is very first step in achieving this. For those of you who know me, I am of course not one to be shy of gruelling adventures or pushing myself <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>- however, I do believe the climb will be the hardest thing I have done so far. What will keep me putting one foot in front of the other is the thought of my Mum and people suffering from MS.</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-justify: inter-ideograph; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"><span style="font-size: small;">Thank you for all your support in helping me to raise money for MS (and Cherrill Le Miere complete with her random choice of disco headware).</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"> THANK YOU ! </span><span style="color: black; mso-bidi-language: #2057;"></span></span></p>
