At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

You may ask why am I doing this? I am doing this to rasie money for Alzheimers Society for a number of reasons;

 - firstly I know people who have this condition and it is heartbreaking to see them struggle with everyday life

 - secondly I have been working with Alzheimer's Society in my profesisonal role to look at how dementia can be better managed

 - thirdly I really want the care for Alzheimer's patients to get better so when I get to this stage the health and social care services know how to deal with me

 - and lastly I really want to go to  walk the Inca Trail.

The Inca trail is located in the Andes mountain range and we climb to around 4,500m above sea level over a period of 5-6 days.
