Vietnam-Cambodia Cycle Challenge 2010 · 7 March 2010 ·

EAP works in the extractive industries, public sector infrastructure and engineering education, to fight poverty and promote sustainable development. It helps deliver practical benefits to poor people through creating jobs, promoting enterprise development and providing training.

Story

On 24 February 2010, I will be doing the Engineers Against Poverty Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle Challenge with two colleagues from The Royal Academy of Engineering. Over eight long, hot, dusty days we will cycle over 525 kilometers  (325 miles), from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, through the rice-paddies and waterways of the Mekong Delta and into Cambodia and on to the Royal Temples of Angkor Wat.

We've already made a separate appeal to Fellows of the Academy for donations, but to achieve our fundraising target of £3,000 each, we are also each counting on the help of our families and friends in supporting the worthy cause of fighting poverty and promoting sustainable development.

Every pound you donate really does make a difference – so please sponsor
me now!

Thanks!

Helen
