I'm back!! - Farleigh Ted and I made it to Kibo (Kilimanjaro's) Summit at just before 7am on 9th February - I got as far as Stella Point 5756m above sea level But was very cold and tired and so did not make it as far as Uhuru Peak (5895m) the very top of Kibo - however I am very pleased to have got as far as I did :)
My aim was to attempt Kili, to Celebrate My 49th Birthday, to Celebrate The life of My Partner Richard Dobbie who died in St Helena Hospice early September 1997 and also raise money for St Helena Hospice .
I self-funded the costs of My Trek - so any monies raised will all go to St Helena Hospice to support the amazing work that they do.
We did The Lemosho Route with the organisation Charity Challenge, Living on a Mountain for 8 days was Amazing and We met some Wonderful People, both those attempting Kili to raise money for their choosen charities and the support crew from The African Walking Company.
Please Sponsor Me!! - there is still time to Celebrate Life!!, to Remember Richard and to support Hospices and the work that they do,
Thank You *Hugs*
