Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and I hope you will support me to raise funds for Women V Cancer charities

18 months ago I made a rash decision to get on my bike for charity and get fit enough to take part in the Women V Cancer 400km/250 mile, 5 day cycle ride across Cuba to support the work of three charities; Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.

Hooray - it's all over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew it would be tough and I worked hard to get fit enough - however I didn't anticpate the effect of the scorching heat in Cuba.  35 degrees and relentless full sun made the challenge a very tough one - but I'm proud to say I completed it all.  Yes, proud but exhausted!  It was the most difficult thing I have ever done in my life but one I consider a great achievement and an amazing experience.

I would still like to raise as much as possible to support the work of Women V Cancer charities.  Like many people I have been affected by cancer - both through the loss of family and friends and having suffered cancer myself - and I’m sure your lives will have been touched in some way by cancer too, so you will understand how important it is to fund continued research and to support those with cancer.

So having completed this difficult challenge I would now like to ask you to support me by digging deep and generously donating. I truly appreciate your support.

And a very big thank you to those who have supported me and donated already.  YOU are amazing.

Thank you, Helen x
