As most of you all know Helen works for a children's charity called the Frost Foundation, they raise money for children in the local area.  She has been particularly moved recently by a little girl called Tess whose parents have been given the devastating news that she suffers from a very rare genetic condition called Alexander's Disease.  Only 50 children have been diagnosed worldwide which means that very little is known about it. 

Tess now has a life expentancy of just 5-10 years and is on permanent medication to help prevent seizures.  At just 3 years old she has already had quite a rough ride so far, last year she had to have a Cranial Vault Reconstruction which was completely unrelated to her condition and just last month she had to have her tonsills out

Tess' Mum and Dad have asked the Frost Foundation to help them turn their garden into a play area for Tess and her two brothers to enjoy.  We want to get some swings and play equipment including a split level Wendy house for Tess to play in that will hopefully help to keep her motor skills working for as long as possible.

On the 21st May we are going to brave the dark and hopefully raise a few pounds for Tess and the other children our charity has pledged to support by spending the night at Owd Betts hunting for ghosts with "Ghost Seen" who are an investigative paranormal group. Owd Betts is apparently haunted by a previous landlady and is seen regularly by staff.
