Ataxia UK - Big Bad Bike Ride 2010 · 11 September 2010 ·

10,500 people in the UK have ataxia which is a progressive neurological condition that disrupts the messages sent from our brains to our muscles that are used to move, speak, listen and see. Ataxia UK funds research into finding treatments and a cure and provide support until they are found.

Story

Hi Everyone

Well I finished so please donate to help the charity and help me reach my target.

Look at the pictures for some of the story and read the words below to get the rest of the story. By the way it ended up as 76 miles due to someone misreading their distance meter.

Thank you to those who have donated already.

I once again committed myself along with 160 other troopers to complete a 70 mile Bike ride in the gentle mountains of Bonny Scotland.

We assembled at Pitlochry on the 10th September to raise funds towards a cure or treatment for Friedreich’s Ataxia. Most of you will realise that I am deeply committed to this charity and many of you have helped me raise funds in the past.

The charity relies heavily on fundraisers and you are on my list of people who I know, who are NOT doing this ride.

I would ask you please to sponsor me… as it will be a lot less painful than coming with me.
