Story
On the 15th May 2011, I will be running 10k through the streets of Manchester, raising money for the British Heart Foundation. Anyone who knew me from school will know that I was NOT the most athletic person in school - the moment when my trainer fell off during the 100m sprint on sports day is probably the highlight of my athletic 'career' so far. However, this has all changed since I entered for the Manchester 10k.
Now I've been running at least twice a week, gradually building up to this 10k race. Considering that last year I could barely run 1k without getting a stitch and giving up, I am pretty proud of myself! However, my motivation only goes so far. That is why I want you all to donate some spare change to the British Heart Foundation, to remind me why I am running. Although I am helping my heart by running, I want to help others with heart conditions which can be easily prevented with your donations. So go on, give a spare quid and help me cross that finish line and help others across the country with heart disease.
