Story

Ta for stopping by!

Myself and my work-mate, Louise, have opted to throw ourselves out of an aeroplane, with another fellow attached to our backs (like a turtle) in the hope that a mechanism will deploy to catch us and drift us gently back to terra firma.

We are each paying for the "privilege" entirely, and therefore this is not a "pay for me to have fun, whilst raising awareness" gig.

Since we're doing something so daft anyway, why not spend a penny on a good cause, so that if the parachute didn't deploy - it wasn't a complete waste of everyone's time. :) (The parachute WILL open, calm down Mum).

And now for the special guest star - our chosen charity:

Remap is a national charity working through local groups of skilled volunteers to help people with disabilities achieve independence and a better quality of life.

They make or modify equipment when nothing suitable is available through mainstream sources. Items are tailor-made to be suitable for individual needs and to make a real difference to people’s ability to rise to a particular challenge and achieve something not otherwise possible for them.

See here for all the little "tweaks of life" they have achieved for those who could do with a little ingenuinity sent their way. (I especially adore "Alice's special car"!)

Thanks all. You're beautiful.
