Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page for the Born Free Foundation. As many of you know i am attempting to run/walk/crawl the London Marathon disguised as an animal for the Born Free foundation on the 22nd of April 2012. Why Born Free? im a zoologist, yep i bet some of you never even knew that! And whilst i am fortunate to have been Born Free and still run free, many of our most endangered and much loved animals on this planet have been subjected to the most appalling conditions once born. From small beginnings, the Born Free Foundation has grown into a global force for wildlife. Their work, to prevent individual animal suffering, protect threatened species and keep wildlife in the wild sets us apart from the rest. Born Free never forgets the individual. Every animal counts. Our emergency teams rescue vulnerable animals from appalling lives of misery in tiny cages and give them lifetime care at spacious sanctuaries. Born Free saves orphaned big cats, great apes and elephants and provides their food and care. Whether its fighting the ivory trade and ‘sport’ hunting, opposing killing wild animals for ‘bushmeat’, or challenging the exploitation of wild animals in zoos and circuses, Born Free takes action on the front line for animals. (www.bornfree.org.uk) Please, please, please donate as much as you can to this amazing foundation, if not donate anyway, surely seeing me suffer the day after a 26mile run would be worth it!! Thanks for Reading H
