We offer hope. For over 60 years, we have provided glimpses of a better world because we commit to relationships where people can simply be themselves with others inc. those with whom they disagree. Through respite and practical workshops, we facilitate the work towards peace.

Story

We greatly appreciate any donations made in Helen's name.

Helen Lucille Leahey Jacobsen, born June 1921 in Independence, California, died March 2, 2011, lived her life in the service of love. She leaves us baffled at her unyielding forgiveness and capacity for unconditional care and acceptance.
Through out her life, Helen touched countless lives. With her motherly offerings of kindness and her charitable contributions she dedicated herself to making others safe and cared for.
Together with her husband of 66 years, Rev. David Jacobsen, she developed and lead the Prayer Renewal workshop all over the country, volunteered in countless noble causes, raised four beautiful and unique children and became an important support for the community of Marin County.
As her life quieted down, she moved into The Redwoods where she busied herself, socializing with her friends, enjoying visits from her 5 grandchildren and 1 great grand child, and enjoying a bowl of ice cream almost every afternoon.
We are left with an amazing example of just how much is possible for one person to give. Through Helen's love and joy for each one of us, we have each learned love and joy for ourselves.
There will be a service to celebrate Helen's life Sunday, March 20th at 2pm at Sausalito Presbyterian Church. We would love to have anyone who's life was touched by Helen to join us.
