I reached the summit of Kilimanjaro at 8.15am on 2nd March 2012.</p> <p>I have trekked in the Himalayan and Karakorum mountains and was a junior doctor working 80 - 100+ hours/week but this was the most challenging experience of my life. The support that I received from all my sponsors kept me going on the gruelling 8 hour climb through snow and ice (yes there was a snowstorm prior to starting the climb at midnight!).
