My fabulous, funny, caring Dad Albie was diagnosed with cancer in November 2009 and just 2 short months later he was gone. For him there was no fighting it, it had already done it's damage. The majority of us know someone who is fighting this nasty, evil disease and 'Shannie's Angels' are taking part in Race for Life so we can help people win their fight against cancer (Cancer we're coming for you).
My friend's Steph gorgeous daughter Shannon has been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma so at just 18 when she should be heading off to uni she will be having chemo instead. Her Auntie Kelly got in touch asking her family and friends to join her in 'Race For Life' so we could do something positive to show Shanni that we are with her in this battle and how much we care.
So for Shanni and the other special people in my life who are currently fighting Cancer we do this for you, we can't do much to help but we can do this.
Now here is the official 'blurb', including an important message about gift aid ....
