We did it!
It was a very hot day, extremely hilly course with no shade whatsoever but we all got round in one piece and still had a big smile on our face at the end!
Now, the biggest challenge of all...... collecting the sponsor money!
Pancreatic Cancer UK contacted us this week to inform us that we are in their top 6 fundraisers and are very grateful for all our hard work and your generous donations! Thank you so much guys!!

On 23rd May 2010, Helen Costin, Emma Silverwood and Rachel Sebborn from the Shipowners team of Willis Marine will run 10 miles to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer and in support of their friend and colleague Will Fetherston in his fight against Pancreatic Cancer.
The trio will compete in the Edmund Carr Great Baddow 10 Mile Road Race in Great Baddow, Chelmsford http://www.baddowraces.org.uk/ and all sponsorship proceeds will be donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK, which is the only national charity dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts http://www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/ . Pancreatic Cancer causes 5% of deaths from cancer but only receives 1% of cancer research funding.
One of the charity's main aims is to fund research, particularly to improve early detection, diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately quality and length of life for future patients.
A bit about "the" Will; Doting Father to sons Sam (10), Jake (9) & Joe (5), Devoted Husband to Liz, single figure Handicap Golfer, who still at 47 turns out for the Hurlingham Club Cricket 1 XI (claims to be best used as a fielder these days!) and Willis Marine Major Account guru. The sort of guy we’d all love to hate really - made even worse by the fact that he is a top, top man. We all miss him and want him back amongst us very soon.
