The Arsenal Foundation Challenge Jordan 2020 · 23 March 2020
This March I will be joining my dad and sister Charlotte for a 4 day trek across the Jordanian desert to demonstrate my support for The Arsenal Foundation. I will push myself out of my comfort zone and raise as much as possible to empower children across the globe through Coaching for Life who in partnership with Save the Children, have co-developed the ground-breaking programme which utilises football to improve the mental wellbeing of children affected by conflict and violence.
We are all fans of Arsenal, but not fans of exercise and camping... this really is out of our comfort zone. Any donations are extremely appreciated and are going towards a great cause. Many thanks for any donations and for taking the time to read this.
More on the Arsenal Foundation:
The Arsenal Foundation help children who have been affected by conflict and violence across the globe. They help by training members of the community to prevent violence against children, provide nutritious meals and enable children to participate in the Coaching for Life programme. The programme is currently operating in the Za’atari Refugee Camp in Jordan and the slum communities of Jakarta, Indonesia. In Indonesia, The Arsenal Foundation is working with children living in dense urban slums where many are at risk of extreme hunger, exploitation and child marriage. In Jordan, they are working with Syrian refugee children who have seen their lives torn apart by conflict. The programme aims to reach 4,500 boys and girls aged between 12-18.
