I am running the Brentwood Fun Run with my children Hannah and Rebecca in support of the team 'Lily's Legends' for the Neuroblastoma Society.

Although we do not know the family personally we have heard of her story through friends at the school and were touched by Lily's story.  Along with many others we wanted to do something to help.

About Lilly

Lily was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when she was 20months old in August 2013. It is a rare, aggressive type of cancer, affecting only 100 children a year in the UK and early detection is paramount to successful treatment. Symptoms are similar to many common childhood illnesses which means it is often misdiagnosed. It was the persistence of Lily's parents with the doctors that has literally saved Lily's life; it has hopefully been caught early enough to treat successfully. By running the fun run we are hoping to raise awareness of this awful disease. If we can enable just one parent to catch it early & save their child's life, then something good can come out of everything our brave little Lily, her parents, siblings, grandparents & the rest of her family have endured.  Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
