Fundraising for Surrey Air Ambulance
Story
Back in 2008 you were great and supported us as we ran the London Marathon, in 2011 we are back with an even bigger challenge, two marathons in four months!
We start the year in Orlando, Florida with the Disney Marathon on 9th January and, assuming we survive, we then go forward to the London Marathon on 17th April. NEWSFLASH - DISNEY COMPLETED 5 HOURS AND 11 MINUTES, COME ON BRING ON LONDON!!!!!

To aid our motivation we looked for a charity close to both our hearts and decided on The Surrey Air Ambulance.
The Surrey Air Ambulance exists to relieve sick and injured people in South East England and surrounding areas by providing a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and Air Ambulance Service for the benefit of the community.
It costs £1.7 million per annum to continue to support the life saving helicopter. Each and every penny comes from individuals, groups, businesses, companies and clubs from all over south east England.
Based at Dunsfold Aerodrome the highly skilled team of Doctors, Paramedics and Nurses can reach emergency situations in any part of Surrey within 15 minutes. The helicopter with its life-saving crew reduces the delay for the patient to receive prompt and appropriate medical care and has the ability to transfer patients to the hospital or specialist trauma centre relevant to the injuries sustained.
The Surrey Air Ambulance is on standby to respond quickly to 999 calls, flying unhindered to an emergency scene across Surrey at speeds up to 150mph, 365 days a year.
