On Sunday 15th November, I will be participating in 'Hell Down South'. This is a 10 - 12 mile multi terrain course over tracks, trails and water filled areas. (i'm only short...I could well drown! :o)

It will be held at Longmoor Military Training Camp in Bordon, Hants.

I am running for Nowzad Dogs. A fantastic charity rescuing stray and abandoned dogs (and sometimes cats) in war zones. Many of the animals are befriended by military personnel who cannot bear to leave them when their Tour is over. They come to Nowzad for help in bringing their buddy home. They also promote animal welfare and assist vital animal aid work that is carried out by the Afghan Rescue Centre. They are solely run by volunteers and do an amazing job in caring for these dogs & bringing them home to the UK where possible.

 

To get in the Hellrunner spirit, i will don a pair of devil horns, red bow tie & devils tail! I'm sure by the time I have swum/sludged through 'The Bog of Doom' these items will no longer be red! But it will be worth it!
