We support The Rifles & its antecedent regiments, including via The Rifles Benevolent Trust, charity No: 1119071, which incorporates Care for Casualties & the Always a Rifleman Programme. Together the Trusts support all serving Riflemen & veterans, with the AARP meeting mental health needs.

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><a href="http://www.justgiving.com/Helmandcrawl" target="_blank"></a>Terry Williams, 54yrs served with 1st &amp; 6th Battalion Light Infantry as did his two younger brothers. Accompanied by his daughter Ceri, 20yrs will be attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for: "Crawling continuously - Greatest distance, currently set at 35.18 miles. (56.62km)</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">The&nbsp;attempt is to Crawl, continuously&nbsp; around a 50 meter circuit for&nbsp; over 51 hours to set a new World Record of 200 miles.</span><br /><span style="color: #000000;">Help support the wounded and families that have lost such brave soldiers in Afghanistan, Help us to raise &pound;20,000.</span><span style="color: #000000;"> You the public can help support this challenge by donating here or attending</span><span style="color: #000000;"> The Helmand crawl which will be open to the public day and night, where you can sign a witness book to show&nbsp; you</span><span style="color: #000000;"> have witnessed the challenge taking place. </span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;"> The idea behind the Helmand Crawl was that there are many fund raising</span><span style="color: #000000;"> events that are walks and bike riding sponsorships but to show your support for The Rifles Regiment and </span><span style="color: #000000;">all the servicemen that have been deployed or are still serving in Afghanistan that their sacrifice and bravery is </span><span style="color: #000000;">not ignored and their Country is right behind them. </span><span style="color: #000000;">We humbly ask for your support as we'll&nbsp; tackle this challenge head on.</span><span style="color: #000000;"> The money we raise will help to provide care needed for these courageous riflemen.</span><span style="color: #000000;"> We who are taking part and supporting the Helmand Crawl wish to demonstrate that we are 100%</span><span style="color: #000000;">&nbsp; humbled by the sacrifice and commitment of all our armed forces wherever they are serving.</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">For more information please look at our website:- www.helmandcrawl.weebly.com</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Thank you<br /></span></p>
