Blenheim Triathlon 2014 · 8 June 2014

In 2025-26 our members will be raising funds for City Harvest. We also support footwear education and industry, and a number of charitable organisations including the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and the Royal Free Hospital.

Story

Team KF2 Flyers comprising of Past Master Chris (Wiggins) King, Past Junior Warden James (the Torpedo) Fairweather and Liverymen Henry (the Mobot) Fairweather will be competing  mainly for everyone but our pleasure at the Blenheim Triathlon 2014.

The team is set off by the Torpedo swimming 750m through the delightful lake, Wiggins then will power through the field on his 19.8km cycle around the park finishing with the Mobot running 5.7km  to the finishing line.

We are supporting two charities that make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives, especially children and young adults. So we do hope you can give what you can to help us reach our target. They are Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, the event’s charity for the year and LCF 125, the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers, charity for the year. Thank you.

Many families have knowingly or unknowing been supported by the incredible work resulting from L&L Research. It is a very touching organisation that has a profound impact on medical advances to help save and treat lives and carry families through the coping process of a difficult condition.

Meanwhile, the Cordwainers, traditionally makers of shoes themselves, provide essential bursary’s to help fund the training, education and apprenticeship of talented young designers at the London College of Fashion, who would not have otherwise had the opportunity to attend.

Funds are being collected centrally at Minge Gift (a noble Cordwainer benefactor from the 17th Century with an unusual surname) with contributions from the other Cordwainer teams. They will then be split equally between the two charities upon completion of the Triathlon.
