Fellow Equality Activist,

I know that you may be familiar with Hersband and Wife the Duo but I would like to introduce you to the Hersband and Wife Marriage Equality tour planned for kick off on Oct 31, 2009 in Atlanta, GA during the pride festival. Hersband and Wife plan a 50-week 50-state tour for marriage equality. They will travel around the U.S. in an RV and get hitched in each state. They are scheduled to appear at Atlanta Pride on October 31 and Palm Springs (CA) Pride November 7. Subsequent dates are available on the Hersband and Wife website front page in an interactive map, Hersband and Wife are looking for sponsors to help fund a complete 2009-2010 cross-country tour to support efforts in every state towards marriage equality.

Hersband & Wife wanted me to forward this on to you in the hopes that your organization would partner with them on this venture. The tour will make a stop in Nashville on New Years Eve. The duo suggested your club for the place where everyone would gather. They will pull the RV up in front of Play gathering attention to the club and the tour. They would like to get 5 minutes on stage to talk about the tour and where they have been so far as well as let people know that if they donate they can go to the RV with a provided paint pen and sign their name on what will be a moving petition for national marriage equality rights for all GLBT people.

The wheels are already in motion, but H&W feel it important to include all gay and gay friendly organizations on such a momentous task. Since your Club is very active in local GLBT events, and a center point on Church street they thought of you first.

The more people know about the tour the more we will be able to make a positive difference for marriage equality.
