We had our baby girl in Nov 2010, born at 23 weeks weighing 1lb3oz (540g) and she is doing well, thanks to Luton and Dunstable Neonatal Intensive Care Unit who proved their worth with their expertise and provide life saving interventions.
L&D NICU and its networks have pulled us through the hardest challenge of our lives where we experienced a whirlwind of emotions the fear of the unknown. The staff are exceedingly efficient and professional, we were reassured that we left our baby in caring hands. Unfortunately the service is not fully funded by the NHS and needs valuable funds to keep the service going and expand the service to provide for more vulnerable sick babies. This is why we are involved in fundraising events to raise money and awareness of the need of such a service at Luton and Dunstable Neonatal Unit so please dig deep and get involved in our events :)
Lets do more to keep Neonatal Units going!!!! Every little goes a long way so please give this worthy cause, L&D NICU really looked after us when we were most vulnerable!!!!!
