I'll be running to show my support for my sister Viki and the charity we set up in 2011.

Viki was diagnosed with lupus in 2008 aged just 25. Frustrated by the lack of information and support available for lupus patients and their families, we were determined that nobody else would have to go through the same isolating experience as we did.

What is lupus?

Lupus is an autoimmune condition which means that it is caused by problems with the immune system. Rather than just fighting viruses, bacteria and infection by producing antibodies, your body starts to attack and destroy healthy cells, tissues and organs. 

What The Hibbs Lupus Trust does:

*We provide support and information to anybody affected by or concerned about lupus.

*We raise awareness of the symptoms of lupus to encourage early diagnosis and reduce life threatening complications associated with the condition. 

*We raise funds to provide facilities, equipment and services for NHS hospitals and Foundation Trusts for the benefit of lupus patients.
