Story

Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.  The Highfield Hikers are Claire Atkins, Mary Hurst, Zoe Heathcote, Alex Bonczoszek and Jennie Calder-Smith.

Last year we lost our darling friend, Mandy Pervin.  Not only was she our friend but she was also a valued colleague and friend to many others, especially within the University of Southampton.  Mandy's passion for life and work was infectious, and her selflessness had no limits.  She loved her family and friends dearly and always put their best interests ahead of her own.  With a great sense of humour, quick wit and a wonderfully distinctive laugh, you could not help but love Mandy.  We all miss Mandy very much.  One of her chosen charities was Macmillan, therefore we have decided to take part in the Macmillan Thames Path Mighty Hike in July 2019, walking 26 miles, to raise money for this great charity in honour of Mandy.

Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support, so whatever cancer throws their way, they are right there with them.

You will see our team fundraising target on the right.  Your donation can really help us smash this goal.   Thanks in advance for your support.
