What are you doing?
I am planning to take part in the FOCUS Hike 4 Life 2011 challenge. The goal is to hike to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa (standing at a cool 5.9km). I along with others will attempt to complete this challenge over a 5 day period after Christmas day 2011
Why you doing it – is it your way to burn off the Christmas excesses?
Well even though that is a good reason in itself, the primary reason is to raise funds for FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance.
Focus Humanitarian Assistance is an international group of agencies established in Europe, North America and South Asia to complement the provision of emergency relief, principally in the developing world. It helps people in need reduce their dependence on humanitarian aid and facilitates their transition to sustainable, long term development.
