Julie is the most wonderful and friendly person imaginable.  Two weeks ago she was diagnosed with motor neurone disease.  This explains the deterioration in her health over the last couple of years.  It started with falls, loss of strength in her hands and limbs, stooping and recently severe breathlessness after moving a short distance.  She is still in hospital as the medical teams determine the best way to help her.  She is expecting to be discharged very soon and will need a lot of help to live her life to the full with MND.
