Thanks for taking the time to visit  my JustGiving page.

The orginal plan was that as a small team from our Compensation and Benefits department ran the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge in 2012, this year we'd encourage even more of our colleagues across the Company to take part.  The race went ahead as planned, with most of the Hilton contingent - but without me, the Team Captain. 

Sadly my dad, who has been battling cancer for almost 4 1/2 years took a downturn on the day of the race.  I like to think this was his way of preventing me from running whilst 6-months pregnant.  Sadly however the reality was that his body said "enough is enough" and dad passed away 3 days later. 

Not one to give in, I have now encouraged all the women in my family to run the Race for Life with me on 11th August, so to those of you who have already sponsored me "fear not, your donation will still go to Cancer Research UK" and to anyone just visiting the site now and confused by the weblink "sorry - plans change - please still sponsor me - I'll be wearing a pink tutu for this one!"

Once again, HICF will very kindly be donating 50% of the proceeds to Cancer Research UK.   Hopefully with more research, many more families can experience the joys of ilfe, not the horrors of cancer.
