At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hello!

Thanks for visiting my page. As part of Faithful+Gould's 70470 challenge, I have chosen to be sugar free for 70 days. As a group we hope to raise over £70,000 for Alzheimer's Society in celebration of Faithful+Gould's 70 years of business.

This is a HUGE personal challenge for me. I am definitely addicted to sugar! I hope to improve my own health whilst raising awareness for a brilliant cause. My aim is to not eat sugar or added sugar - which is in everything!! Any recipes, tips or advice are welcome - please send me an email: holly-kerr@hotmail.co.uk

Currently Dementia affects 850, 000 people in the UK. This figure is predicted to rise to 2 million by 2051 if we don't take action now.

Not only does Dementia UK provide funding to support the important research around Dementia, the charity work to provide support to those caring for and living with relatives with Dementia.

This disease has impacted myself and my family recently, as my late Granny had Dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Please sponsor me and help me complete this challenege. Please give whatever you can, 70p (ideally for every sugar free day), £7 or £70! (Other amounts will also be gratefully accepted!!)
