National Three Peaks Challenge · 17 October 2019

The Beam Foundation is focused on the relief of poverty, for the public benefit. This is including but not exclusively for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, refugees, individuals with disabilities and individuals who have a criminal record.

Story

On October 17th, I’m taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge. As much as I enjoy a nice country walk this is going to be one of the biggest challenges I’ve taken on so far. It involves trekking the distance of a marathon and climbing over 11,000 ft. above sea level all within a 24 hour period!

We will be climbing up Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales, raising money for the Beam Foundation, a charity which is harnessing local communities to help homeless people back to work. Thought it was quite fitting considering I cried a lot watching 'A Street Cat Named Bob?' 🙃

I'm genuinely a little concerned about what I've signed myself up for...should probably start taking my asthma a little more seriously.
