GRIM challenge · 2 December 2017
Combat Stress has helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma, anxiety and depression for almost 100 years.
I was lucky enough to visit Tyrwhitt House, one of the charity's residential treatment centres, and it was inspirational to hear how the charity helps transform and improve the life of others.
During my visit to the centre, we were told how difficult it could be to build up the courage to walk through the doors and admit you need help. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to confront your problems through a rehabilitation programme but hearing about the fantastic things Combat Stress do for veterans and their families is truly humbling.
So, when putting things into perspective, running through mud for 8 miles in December doesn't seem so bad! Any donations for this amazing cause would be much appreciated. Fingers crossed I don't get lost in a puddle...
