Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Basil is a Hope Dog. Without the help of Hope Rescue, Basil's story (and life) might have ended very abruptly some six months ago, as local authorities can destroy stray or homeless dogs once they have spent 7 days in a local authority pound. Hope Rescue arranged for Basil to travel to North Wales where he was fostered by one of Hope's volunteer foster homes, and he was eventually rehomed in South Wales. He travelled from North Wales to South Wales by car, transported by Hope volunteers.

Basil is going to re-live the journey, but this time on foot! He is going to walk the length of Offa's Dyke - 177 miles - from Prestatyn in North Wales to Chepstow, South Wales. He is asking for your support, encouragement (and sponsorship)! to raise funds for Hope, and so ensure that their excellent work with strays is able to continue. I'll be walking beside him all the way, and we hope to be joined along the route by other Hope dogs, volunteers and wellwishers.

Basil owes his life to Hope, please help him to help his fellow strays.
