Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. During December 2010, I visited The Mercy Centre in Bangkok, Thailand where I had the privilege of seeing this maginificent work first hand and sponsoring the youngest child (7 months old) in the orphange, Baby Sun (Suriya which means Sun in English). Baby Sun's mum is HIV infected which was passed on from his dad. We will only know if Sun is HIV infected when he is 18 months old.

The centre truly is a mercy centre indeed, with a Hospice that cares for the fragile and classrooms that ensure education of Khlong Toei's children. The centre is excellent in the way its facilities are maintained, the children are cared for and it has (as far as I'm concerned) an education policy that is second to none for its environment.

My aim is to raise funds in honour of children like Baby Sun who stay at the orphanage. I would hate to see his destiny aborted because I wasn't willing to do whatever I could to help him and as many children as I can. Please join me in this endeavour.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
