When you see the great need that is all around you, the poverty, the sickness, the pain it is hard not to be overwhelmed. But as Mother Teresa so simply put it, if you can't feed 100 then feed one. And so we try to do the best we can with what we have and what we have are able bodied men and women who have volunteered to do various activities to raise money.
So we are having a fundraising day on the 26th March and here is what will be happening:
The Malawian male staff have decided to do a sponsored bike ride from Hope Village to Blantyre and back again which is 100km, 50km of which is up hill.
The Gill family have volunteered to have a bucket of water thrown at them by their Malawian friends for every £10 donated.
The ladies have agreed to have a marathon nappy changing day. We will be giving out towelling nappies and putting them on as many village babies as we can during the day.
Photos and videos will be taken on the day for your amusement.
Others are also getting onboard as well...
Elim Southport are having a cake sale
Amplify Designs are donating a percentage of their sales to us for 3 months.
So go on please make a donation no matter how big or small every little bit helps and your contribution will really encourage our Malawian staff that they too can help to raise funds and see their community blessed and helped.
