Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Following the brilliant prison walk organised by our Bristol group in
February, we are holding the first ever Howard League students prison
walk which aims to raise £3000 to support the work of the Howard
League.
We're looking for at least one team from each Howard
League student group to enter. The team that raises the most money will
win free places to the 2010 Community Programmes Awards, which this
year includes key note speaker Max Clifford. All teams that enter will
get free entry to the Howard League annual wine reception at the House
of Commons.
The details:
We will be walking from HMP
Brixton in south London, making our way to HMP Pentonville and HMP
Holloway before finishing up at the Howard League offices where
refreshments will be provided. The walk is just over 10 miles and
should take approximately three and a half hours.
The walk will take place from 1pm on Wednesday 19 May.
Everyone
who signs up will also receive a free Howard League T-shirt. We will be
looking to get press coverage for the walk and photo opportunities at
the prisons on the route.
