Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

In June 2018 I took part in this challenge with Team Mi-Space and our team raised £14,302 while the event as a whole raised £503,000.This year, I'm aiming to raise £2,000 to contribute to a target of £50,000 for Team Mi-Space.

The challenge is 145 miles of cycling from London to Amsterdam. All riders pay their own costs so all donations are 100% in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

In the UK, about 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer during their lives. Men over 50, men with a history of prostate cancer in their family and black men are more at risk of getting prostate cancer.

Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men. over 47,00 men are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer every year - that's 129 men every day. Over 330,000 men are living with and after Prostate Cancer. Every 45 minutes a UK male dies of Prostate Cancer, that's more than11,000 men every year.
