Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In March 2010 I decided that at the ripe old age of 57 I needed to take up a challange, and that was going to see me riding from one end of the country to the other end!
After a month of talk planning and trying out my fitness on a bike (not good) my 13 year old son Josh said he wanted to do it as well!!!!!!!. So it was down to the bike shop to get fitted out and then lots of training.
August saw us cycling in France (Tour de France eat your heart out), and then back to Taunton, struggling to keep going in snow frost and ice during one of our coldest winter for years.
During those long cold winter days on the bike I got to thinking about a charity to ride for. And then it came to me that my very good friends Lyn and Alan had set up A children’s hospice & China's first children's community palliative care service and I know what a struggle it has been for them.
It costs £120 pounds a month for a nurse and our target is to raise enough for them to have a full time nurse for 1 year .
They opened Chinakidz 18 month ago. and have had many ups and downs. They managed a trip back to the UK in December, they are very positive about the future but are finding it hard to fund the many operations, the equipment not to mention their very loyal and hard working team.
So on April the 10th 2011 we will set of from Lands End
*******************1000 miles in 10 days********************* .
With your help I can raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
