Story
Hello all,
Thanks for visiting my page.
On 4th August, I'll be going for a little bike ride. It will start in the Olympic Park in Stratford, London and finish on the Mall. Sadly, instead of heading down to the river and then west along the embankment to Buckingham Palace, the bike ride will take me past the Mall, along the A4 and then due south to the leafy and (occasionally) hilly lanes of Surrey. 100 miles later, I will hopefully limp back into London.
For professional cyclists this will be a tough ride - the hills of Surrey are not to be messed with. For a lanky, slightly unfit chap in his early 30s, this will be an energy-sapping, thigh burning feat of endurance. And so please, if you can, sponsor me a few pounds to help me focus and to let me know that it will all be worth it!
ACF is an amazing organisation and I never cease to be humbled by the work that it does and the motivation and attitude of its staff. For a development and humanitarian agency, they offer the very best value for money and are constantly innovating, evaluating and improving their work to make sure that they treat as many children as possible who are suffering from acute malnutrition. They also have their mission firmly set on long-term goals and devote many of their resources to strengthening weak health systems to make sure that the life-saving work continues and expands when they leave a country.
Anything you can give will be hugely appreciated.
MANY MANY HUGE THANKS AND HUGS,
Hugh (and his legs)
