Jamies story...

Jamie was my first born child and i was over the moon to be a daddy to an amazing child. Things started to change very quickly for my son. At only a few weeks old jamie started struggling to breath move and even eat as he could'nt get the blood pumping round his body, due too a valve in his heart that didnt close at birth. Me and jamies mum laura were heartbroken watching our little boy fight every day just to do the basic's. At 4 weeks old jamie had his first opperation, key hole surgery to try and fix this hole in his heart. It never went to plan the  hole was too big, we feared the worst knowing our little warrior had to have open heart surgery at only 6 weeks old. The worst feeling watching and hoping it all went well.. finaly we got the call to go to icu the operation worked my son was able to live a healthy life all thanks to the heros at alder hey childrens hospital. Now at the age of 9 he has never looked back they fixed my little boy and i hope doing what am doing can give another child the chance at life every child deserves.
