We support children and their families to feel safe, healthy and resilient.

Story

Not every child is born into a stable, loving family or has the educational opportunities they deserve. Not every family functions smoothly or sticks together when life gets tough. Some people fall on hard times, some make bad choices, and others just get a rough start in life.

Yet these people are still members of our community. As a society, we can choose to ignore them, cast them out and hope the problems go away. But such indifference simply makes those problems worse for the families concerned and the wider community.

Ormiston Families is dedicated to helping children, young people and families, particularly those on the margins of society. They aim to improve education, reduce re-offending rates, and prevent family breakdown. If you enjoy our blog posts, please help Ormiston Families continue this vital work in our community by donating £2 (or more if you can afford it) to them today.

Donating with JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your money goes direct to the charity, saving them time and helping them reduce costs. Thank you for your generosity – please give what you can and please tell your friends because young lives matter.
