Thanks for taking the time to visit IM Sinking's JustGiving page. At Irwin Mitchell we are committed to supporting our wider community. Our Responsibility, the firms Social Responsibility programme is a fundamental part of who we are. It is pulled together under four strands: Our Community, Our People, Our Environment and Our Pro Bono. Our commitment takes many forms, from providing free legal advice to volunteering in community initiatives. That is why we are proud to support our local charity Disability North.  Disability North is a free Independent Living Service which promotes social inclusion, independence and choice for disabled people in the North East and Cumbria. They provide important and often vital advice to anyone requiring information on disability and mobility. Disability North believe that with this information, people are empowered to make decisions and choices in their own lives. They are also committed to eliminating discrimination older and disabled people can sometimes face by educating the wider community.  We could not think of a better way to help raise awareness of this important charity than to take part in Disability North's annual 'Take on the Tyne' event. We will be competing in a race down the River Tyne on Sunday 20th May at 12.30. We hope that by doing so we will help to raise as much money as possible to support the great work that Disability North do.  It costs £450 per hour to run Disability North's advice centre, that's almost £787,500 per year and, i'm sure you will agree, a lot of money! Funding is largely by charitable donations and so we need to raise as much money as we can to ensure that this service continues. Please help us by donating as much or as little as you can to make sure we hit out fundraising target.
