Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Story
After a lot of thought and discussion, we have decided to cancel our summer holiday this year and do something different with our lovely Labrador Molly but also in support of two fantastic charities which mean a lot to us and both of our families.
We have decided to take on the Isle of Wight challenge which is a 71.5 mile walk following the coastal path, which we are going to do over a 5 day period. The official challenge has already been and gone this year but we are creating our own using the same route (dogs are also not allowed on the official one).
We are planning to start this on Sunday 13th November (weather permitting with the ferry crossing). Obviously this is just a holiday walk with the dog, but as you all know this is abit beyond our current ability, especially carrying a 50ltr rucksack each for the journey essentials.
Any support you are able to give to either charity would be greatly appreciated. We will keep everyone updated along the way, depending on phone signal due to the nature of the challenge :-)
