 I like the work Islamic Relief are doing and have pledged £180 towards their charity. So please help me to help the needy...IR was the first charity I have ever heard of, so it would be nice to help them this year...

 The War on Hunger

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: I heard Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) while he was on the pulpit speaking about charity, to abstain from asking others for some financial help and about begging others, saying, "The upper hand is better than the lower hand. The upper hand is that of the giver and the lower (hand) is that of the beggar." 

 

We don't need to say much about the virtues of giving in charity, so please give with your generous heart...
