Swimming the Channel, Walking the National 3 peaks & cycling from Darlington to Blackpool and back · 5 July 2014

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

Myself and Glen along with help from our good friend David Carter are participating in 3 gruelling challenges over 3 consecutive weekends in July. Each challenges must be completed in under 24 hours. The total distance covered is approx 300 miles.

The challenges are:

Swimming the English Channel - distance 21 miles. We swim this as a relay where 1 swims for an hour at a time.

Walking the National 3 peaks - distance 30 miles climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.

Cycling from Darlington to Blackpool and back - distance 240 miles
