Story

Racing 'towards a future without cancer'

Motivated by the fact that a large number of friends and colleagues have been affected by cancer over recent years I decided to help raise awareness and money to support the great work of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

During 2011 my racecar has proudly displayed the Christie logo and at the start of the season I pledged to personally donate £10 for every point that I scored in this years National Championship (now complete).

In addition I am going to run 10k on the 27th December starting and finishing with a lap of the Coventry Motorspeedway circuit ahead of their Christmas race meeting.

Originally my goal was to raise at least £3,500 through my personal fund raising activities in 2011 and I started the ball rolling with my 'pounds for points' pledge, however thanks to an overwhelming response in the first week of my appeal this goal has been smashed, I have therefore revised my sights and I am looking for your support and asking you to dig as deep as you are able to help me raise at least £5,000 for this incredibly worthwhile cause.

Thanks

Iain

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
