Bridge of Orchy 1.30am. With the Just Giving website down for maintenance the plan for a continuous update on progress was inevitably delayed. The lads made good time from Inveroran, notwithstanding herds of deer and more rain, though the weather had improved slightly. Hot chocolate greeted them in Bridge of Orchy, which was needed. Both were starting to become tired, with aching legs. Deep Heat was called into action, head torch batteries replaced and calories force fed. Thanks to the New Zealand WHWer who spotted the support team heating the hot chocolate and gave us a donation! In the inevitable shower, soon to become steady rain, the lads set off on the 7 mile section to Tyndrum.

We have arrived at Fort William in good time. Having breakfast at Morrisons, to pile on the calories. It's going to take an awful lot longer to get back and the sky is a heavy grey!

Planning is now well underway and a date has been set! This Friday(27th July) from Fort William. Arriving at Milngavie for 2000 on Saturday. Updates will follow...

Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for Iain Wheel & Johnny Sim.

Johnny & I are planning to walk the West Highland Way NON-STOP. We are hoping to complete the 96 miles in under 30 hours - under 24 hours if we run some of it!  We're hoping the midges aren't going to eat us alive and that our mums (the support team) can provide the calories needed to keep us going at our food stops. We're planning the walk from Fort William to Milngavie so then every step will take us closer home and to our beds!

My grandma died last year from breast cancer and recently my aunt has been diagnosed as having breast cancer too.  She will be starting chemotherapy at about the same time we'll be doing the walk. I wanted to raise money for a charity that is funding research into the causes of breast cancer and finding a cure.
