Hello! Thanks for visiting my page.

In 2011 I am running the Great North Run on 18th September and I have already completed the Great North 10K on 17th July in a time of 50mins 3secs (three minutes faster than my previous best in a 10K, at Scone Palace in 2009, and a full eight minutes faster than my first ever 10K in the Great Edinburgh Run in 2007).

I have two reasons for running these races in 2011. I want to get fit and lose weight before my wedding to the lovely Kirsten in October 2011 and to raise money for the important research done by the British Heart Foundation.

Great North Run 2011 will be my third attempt at the event, and this time I am aiming to finish in under two hours after narrowly missing out in 2007 when I finished with a time of 2 hours 5 minutes.

As ever, I am also raising money for the MS Society. If you would prefer to donate to that charity, please visit: http://www.justgiving.com/IainKeenanGNR11
